Join us for a relaxed day trip to, one of Kyoto’s most famous hydrangea spots! ✨ June is hydrangea season in Japan, and Mimurotoji is especially known for its beautiful colorful flower gardens with many of blooming hydrangeas covering the temple grounds.

✨ About Mimurotoji
Mimurotoji is a historic Buddhist temple in Uji with over 1,200 years of history. It is sometimes called the “Flower Temple” because it is famous for seasonal flowers throughout the year, especially hydrangeas and azaleas. The hydrangea garden during rainy season is one of the most beautiful in the Kyoto area.

Please note that there is usually a temple entrance fee during hydrangea season (around ¥1,000), so please bring some cash just in case.
